A Little About Me & My Learning Journey
More than two decades ago, I embarked on a simple dream: to create a space where children could truly flourish. Starting as a childminder from my own home, I immersed myself in learning more about children. My dream was to open my own nursery.

When an opportunity arose at the local doctor's surgery in 2007, I seized it, founding 'Clever Clowns Day Nursery.' Despite limited resources, I remained true to my vision, creating a nurturing haven for young minds. In 2012, I leased a former public house and that became my second nursery.

However, my story was one of grit and determination, rooted in humble beginnings on a council estate. As the first in my family to graduate, I balanced work and motherhood while pursuing qualifications in Childcare, Business Administration, Customer Service and many more.
Now in 2024, armed with expertise and buckets full of resilience, I stand as a testament to the power of lifelong learning. Despite facing challenges like losing both parents and an 'inadequate' grading from OFSTED in October 2022, I've persevered. I found the judgement became one that affected me both professionally and personally and admittedly, I lost myself for a short while.
Through my blog, I share insights that prioritise each child's unique journey. I envision education as a celebration of individuality, nurturing curiosity, resilience, and kindness from the start.
